Јесен има посебан мирис и боју у малом селу Подмједеник, смјештеном на путу од Пала ка Боговићима.
Од планинарског дома "Стајна", до којег води пут дуг 17 километара, најбоље се види како се јутарња магла лагано диже са ливада и дрвећа, претварајући пејзаж у слику што живи својим дахом.
Од Дома, постоји маркирани пут који води до Новакове пећине и пећине "Зечева ледењача", испод обронака Романије.
Са друге стране, од пута према Боговићима, стаза води до манастира Соколица и даље ка манастиру Озерковићи.
Врхови Мједеника одакле се могу видјети и обронци Јахорине, Маглића и Дурмитора, надвисују све као стари чувар шуме и времена, док Подмједеник у подножју живи тихи, јесењи ритам и свједочи да је једноставност у ствари и најљепша.
