Dokazano je (naučnim istraživanjima, kao što rekosmo) da je psovanje povezano, između ostalog, sa iskrenošću (osobe koja psuje), bogatijim rječnikom, i boljom kontrolom bijesa.

E sad… da li je onda OK učiti djecu da psuju? S jedne strane imate gomilu pozitivnih osobina (svakako želite da ih razvijete kod podmlatka), a s druge strane, prilično odvratne situacije u kojima u parkiću iz usta petogodišnjaka ponekad izleću psovke za koje niste ni znali da postoje…
Dr Ema Birn, psiholog, naučnica koja je, između ostalog poznata po radovima na temu vještačke inteligencije, smatra da je korisno djecu učiti da psuju, ali na pravi način, prenosi IFLScience.
“Smatram da djecu ne treba izlagati psovkama sve dok ne budu dovoljno zrela da ih efektivno upotrebljavaju”, kaže ona.
“Ali, mnogo je bolje da djecu učimo tome pružajući im podršku i razumijevanje, da ih naučimo kako da koriste psovke koje su dio jezika kao i svaki drugi, nego da im potpuno zabranjujemo da koriste ružne riječi”, kaže dr Birn.
