Ruka Svetog Save na čelu Spasovdanske litije u Beogradu

Svetom arhijerejskom liturgijom u Vaznesenjskoj crkvi koju jutros služio patrijarh Porfirije, SPC i Grad Beograd započeli su obilježavanje gradske slave Spasovdana.
Liturgija u Vaznesenjskoj crkvi počela je u 9 sati, a veliki broj vjernika se okupio danas u toj prestoničkoj crkvi i da bi cjelivao mošti-ruku Svetog Save koja je iz manastira Mileševa juče stigla u Beograd i predvodiće tradicionalnu Spasovdansku litiju kasnije danas.
Ceremonija proslave gradske slave biće nastavljena u 12 časova lomljenjem slavskog kolača u Starom dvoru uz prisustvo gradonačelnika Beograda Aleksandra Šapića, patrijarha Porfirija i premijera Đura Macuta.
Nakon toga, u 19 časova sa raskrsnice ulica Kralja Milana i Kneza Miloša krenuće tradicionalna Spasovdanska litija, koju će predvoditi patrijarh.
Na čelu litije će biti i ruka Svetog Save koja je jedini dio svetiteljevih moštiju preostao u Srbiji nakon njihovog spaljivanja na Vračaru 27. aprila 1594. godine.
Časni krst će ove godine nositi alas Renato Grbić.
Beograd slavi Spasovdan kao svoju slavu i tako čuva uspomenu na dan kada ga je despot Stefan Lazarević proglasio srpskom prestonicom
Naime, prema dogovoru ugarskog kralja Žigmunda i srpskog despota Stefana, koji je sklopljen krajem 1403. ili početkom 1404. godine, Beograd je postao prestonica Srpske despotovine, a za slavu grada ustanovljen je Spasovdan.
Jedan od načina na koji je ovo bilo obznanjeno, obilježeno i proslavljeno bila je i svečana litija koja je prošla ulicama nove prestonice.
Takođe, to je slava manastira Visoki Dečani, Banjaluke, Nevesinja i Istočnog Novog Sarajeva.
