Ruka Svetog Save stigla je iz manastira Mileševe u Beograd, gdje će se sutra naći na čelu Spasovdanske litije, povodom krsne slave Grada Beograda.
Ovim povodom je ispred Vaznesenjske crkve, u centru grada, u popodnevnim časovima priređen svečani doček moštiju, a ruku je dočekao Njegova svetost patrijarh srpski Porfirije, predstavnici Srpske pravoslavne crkve i i veliki broj građana, nakon čega je uslijedilo praznično večernje bogosluženje.
Sutrašnju litiju u Beogradu, sa početkom u 19.00 časova od Vaznesenjske crkve do Hrama Svetog Save, povodom gradske slave, predvodiće patrijarh Porfirije, koji će u Hramu, nakon militve, održati besjedu.
Ruka je jedini dio svetiteljevih mošti preostao iza njihovog spaljivanja na Vračaru 27. aprila 1594. godine.
Na sam praznik Vaznesenja Gospodnjeg, sutra u 9.00 časova, patrijarh Porfirije će predvoditi svetu arhijerejsku liturgiju u Vaznesenjskoj crkvi pokraj moštiju Svetog Save i uz sasluženje više arhijereja i sveštenstva.
Patrijarh Porfirije će potom u 12.00 časova, u Skupštini grada Beograda obaviti čin blagosiljanja slavskih darova, u prisustvu premijera Srbije Đure Macuta i gradonačelnika Beograda Aleksandra Šapića.
Srpska pravoslavna crkva i vjernici sutra slave praznik Vaznesenja Gospodnjeg, Spasovdan, kojim se obilježava 40. dan nakon Vaskrsa kada se Isus Hristos uzdigao na nebo.
