Број погинулих усљед снажног земљотреса у Мјанмару порастао је на 2.886, јавила је кинеска новинска агенција Синхуа, позивајући се на локалне надлежне органе.
У извјештају се наводи да је повријеђено најмање 4.639 људи, а да је 373 на списку несталих.
Ранији извјештаји показали су да је погинуло 2.719 људи, те да је 4.521 лице повријеђено, а више од 400 особа на списку несталих.
Земљотрес магнитуде 7,7 степени по Рихтеровој скали погодио је Мјанмар у петак, 28. марта, а потреси су се осјетили у Бангладешу, Индији, Лаосу, Кини и на Тајланду.
