Najbolji srpski teniser Novak Đoković plasirao se u poluFinale ATP turnira u Ženevi, pošto je danas u četvrtFinalu pobIJedio Italijana Matea Arnaldija rezultatom 6:4, 6:4.
Meč je trajao sat i 39 minuta.
Đoković je iskoristio treću brejk loptu u trećem gemu prvog seta, a zatim zadržao prednost i poveo 1:0 u setovima.
U drugom setu Arnaldi je prvi došao do brejka kada je vodio 4:1, ali srpski teniser je potom osvojio pet uzastopnih gemova i tako pobjedom obilježio 38. rođendan.
Bio je ovo drugi međusobni duel dva tenisera i prva pobjeda za Đokovića koji se tako revanširao Arnaldiju za poraz u Madridu prije mjesec dana.
Đoković će sutra u polufinalu igrati protiv pobjednika meča između Australijanca Alekseja Popirina i Britanca Kamerona Norija.
ATP turnir u Ženevi se igra za nagradni fond od 596.035 evra.
