Finansijski stres je najjači stres koji pogađa modernog čovjeka - sugeriše britanska naučna studija.
Istraživanje, koje je uključilo 5.000 odraslih osoba u dobi od 50 i više godina, pokazalo je da se, među stresovimaa koji su proučavani - poput nekog teškog gubitka, invaliditeta, bolesti i razvoda - kao najštetnija izdvaja finansijska napetost.
Naučnici sa fakulteta u Londonu i Kraljevog univerziteta istražili su vezu između hroničnih stresova i pokazatelja zdravlja u starijim grupama stanovništva.
Ispitujući četiri biomarkera: kortizol, C-reaktivni protein, fibrinogen i faktor rasta inzulina-1 /svi su povezani sa stresom, upalama i starenjem/, studija je otkrila da je zbog finansijskih problema 60 odsto veća vjerovatnoća da će u roku od četiri godine najviše ispitanika imati "visokorizične zdravstvene profile".
Rezultati su objavljeni u časopisu "Brejn, bihejvor end imjuniti" /Brain, Behavior, and Immunity/.
Finansijski stres je najštetniji za biološko zdravlje, ističu stručnjaci. Njegov invazivni uticaj na različite aspekte života potencijalno dovodi do porodičnih sukoba, socijalne isključenosti, gladi ili beskućništva.
