Odbojkašice Srbije su pretrpjele poraz od selekcije Kine rezultatom 3:1 (25:21, 20:25, 22:25, 27:29) u posljednjem meču grupne faze na Olimpijskim igrama u Parizu.
Nisu uspjele izabranice Đovanija Gvidetija da se izbore i dođu do trijumfa nad Kinom.
Uprkos tome što su osvojile prvi set, nisu uspjele da u narednim periodima igre isprate nevjerovatan ritam koje su nametnule rivalke, te će u četvrtfinale Olimpijskih igara kao trećeplasirane.
Maestralan meč je odigrala Tijana Bošković. Na svom kontu je upisala čak 39 poena, a podršku je imala u Maji Aleksić sa devet, dok su Mina Popović i Sara Lozo upisale šest, odnosno pet poena.
Na drugoj strani je nevjerovatan meč odigrala Li sa postignutih 19 poena, a dvocifrene su bile još i Gong sa 17, odnosno Vang sa 17 poena.
Srbija je izborila plasman u nokaut fazu, a rivala u četvrtfinalu će saznati tek kada se završe ostali mečevi prve faze.
