Prof. dr Božidar Popović, dekan Elektrotehničkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu i Nikola Kukrić, viši asistent na ovom fakultetu, učestvuju na međunarodnoj konferenciji „2025 BFSU China-CEE Conference on People-to-People Exchanges“.
Konferencija se održava u Ningbou, Narodna Republika Kina, u organizaciji Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), uz domaćinstvo Ningbo University of Technology.
Kako je saopšteno sa Elektrotehničkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu, prof. Popović je govorio u okviru High-Level Dialogue podforuma, fokusiranog na obrazovnu saradnju između Kine i zemalja Centralne i Istočne Evrope u kontekstu razvoja vještačke inteligencije.
- U svom izlaganju, posebno je naglasio značaj primjene savremenih tehnologija u obrazovanju – uključujući Internet of Things (IoT), digitalnu poljoprivredu, automatizovane sisteme i razvoj pametnih rješenja. Istakao je važnost da univerziteti iz regiona aktivno učestvuju u zajedničkim projektima sa kineskim partnerima, posebno u domenu istraživanja, razmjene studenata i razvoja bilateralnih studijskih programa – saopšteno je sa Elektrotehničkog fakulteta.

Učesnike forume pozvao je da posjete Republiku Srpsku, Istočno Sarajevo i Banju Luku, sa ciljem daljeg jačanja institucionalne i akademske saradnje.
Na poziv prof. Shao Qianjuna, rektora Ningbo University of Technology, Popović i Kukrić će sutra posjetiti ovaj univerzitet, gdje će biti održani razgovori o konkretnim oblicima buduće saradnje, uključujući zajedničke istraživačke projekte i mobilnost studenata i nastavnika.
Dan ranije, Popović i Kukrić su na poziv njegove ekselencije ambasadora BiH u Kini Siniše Berjana učestvovali na Sajmu saradnje Kine i zemalja Centralne i Istočne Evrope, na kojem su predstavljeni privredni i turistički potencijali Republike Srpske i BiH.
Delegacija Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu i Univerziteta u Banjaluci boravile su u Kini zahvaljujući inicijativi i posredovanju ambasade BiH u Kini koja je imala ključnu ulogu u organizaciji i realizaciji ove posjete.
