Vjetar i nepristupačan teren otežavaju gašenje požara koji je aktivan u kanjonu Tare i dijelu Meštrevca.
U gašenju učestvuje jedna letjelica Helikopterskog servisa RS, pripadnici vatrogasnih službi Rudo, Plužine i Foča, te radnici šumskih gazdinastava iz Sokoca i Foče, rečeno je Radio Foči iz opštinske Civilne zaštite.
Vatrogasci intervenišu na mjestima gdje mogu pristupiti, dok u kanjonu Tare nije moguće gasiti vatru, dodali su.Trenutno nisu ugroženi stanovništvo ni objekti ali vatra u svakom trenutku prijeti da se proširi.
