У загрљају високих планина, на путу од Ливна ка Мркоњић Граду, шири се росно Гламочко поље.
У вријеме Римског царства на овом простору развијао се град Салвијум који се налазио на путу од Далмације ка Посавини, а био је једна од првих колијевки хришћанства, о чему свједоче и темељи базилике из шестог вијека.
Недалеко од ових темеља саграђен је и Манастир Веселиње који чува сјећање на 806 српских гламочких новомученика и једну Хрватицу - учитељицу која је покушала спасити српску дјецу, а и сама је пронађена без душе на школском прагу.
