Hoće li kvalifikacije za SP ukrstiti Srbiju i BiH?

Međunarodna košarkaška federacija (FIBA) saopštila je da će žrijeb grupa kvalifikacija za Svjetsko prvenstvo 2027. godine biti održan naredne sedmice, tačnije 13. maja u Dohi.
Što se tiče Evrope, kvalifikacije će biti podijeljene u dvije faze. U prvoj će 32 selekcije biti raspoređene u osam grupa. Po tri najbolje ekipe iz svake grupe plasiraće se u drugu fazu. Tako će se dobiti 4 grupe sa po 6 učesnika, iz koje će se po tri reprezentacije plasirati na SP.
Reprezentacija Srbije nalazi se u prvom šeširu žrijeba, u kome se nalaze još Njemačka, Francuska, Španija. Mogući rivali dolaze iz ostalih šešira: U četvrtom su Finska, Turska, Gruzija, pobjednik pretkvalifikacija), u petom su BiH, Izrael i Belgija, dok četvrti protivnik dolazi iz šešira u kom su Kipar i 3 ekipe iz pretkvalifikacija).
Kvalifikacije za Mundobasket igraće se u periodu od novembra 2025. do marta 2027. godine.
