Parada povodom 80. godišnjice pobjede nad fašizmom u Drugom svjetskom ratu počela je na Crvenom trgu u Moskvi.
Očekuje se da se prisutnima na Crvenom trgu obrati predsjednik Rusije Vladimir Putin, koji je ranije uputio čestitku povodom Dana pobjede patrijarhu moskovskom i cijele Rusije Kirilu.
Tokom dvočasovnog programa marširaće pripadnici svih jedinica ruske vojske, kao što su tenkovska, artiljerijska, inženjerska, pešadijska i mornarička jedinica, ali i snage za specijalne operacije.
Na Crvenom trgu biće prikazano naoružanje iz Drugog svjetskog rata, ali i najsavremenije oružje. Prvi put će biti prikazani dronovi kamikaze "geranj" koji se koriste u specijalnoj vojnoj operaciji u Ukrajini, a moguća su i druga iznenađenja, poput prikazivanja nove balističke rakete srednjeg dometa "orešnik" koju je Rusija prvi put upotrijebila krajem prošle godine.
Paradi u Moskvi prisustvuje 29 svjetskih lidera, uključujući predsjednika Republike Srpske Milorada Dodika i srpskog člana i predsjedavajuću Predsjedništva BiH Željku Cvijanović.
Ovom velikom događaju prisustvuju i predsjednik Srbije Aleksandar Vučić, predsjednik Narodne skupštine Republike Srpske Nenad Stevandić, te ministar za naučnotehnološki razvoj i visoko obrazovanje Srpske Željko Budimir.
Među prisutnima je i proslavljeni srpski režiser Emir Kusturica.
