Broj žrtava razornog zemljotresa koji je pogodio Mjanmar dostigao 3.564, javila je kineska televizija CCTV.
CCTV javlja da je povrijeđeno 5.012 ljudi, a 210 je nestalo.
Zemljotres magnitude 7,7 stepeni po Rihterovoj skali pogodio je Mjanmar 28. marta, a potres se osjetio u Bangladešu, Indiji, Laosu, Kini i Tajlandu.
Zemljotres je oštetio podzemne naftovode, saopštile su lokalne vlasti sljedećeg dana, dodajući da su dalekovodi takođe prekinuti i da na obale zemlje stižu tankeri kako bi ublažili nestašicu goriva.
Brojne zemlje, uključujući Rusiju i Bjelorusiju, pomažu Mjanmaru na različite načine, uključujući slanje spasilačkih timova.
