Film "Ruski konzul" srpski je kandidat za Oskara, saopštio je Filmski centar Srbije.
Selekciona komisija koju su činili Dimče Stojanovski, predsjednik, Biljana Maksić, Darko Bajić, Dejan Dabić, Božidar Zečević, Đorđe Milosavljević i Miloš Janković, donijela je odluku o izboru srpskog kandidata za 97. dodjelu nagrade Američke akademije filmske umjetnosti i nauke "Oskar" u kategoriji za najbolji međunarodni film.
Tajnim glasanje filmu Miroslava Lekića "Ruski konzul" dodjeljeno je devet glasova, "Za danas toliko", Marka Đorđevića dobio je sedam, "Radnička klasa ide u pakao", Mladena Đorđevića tri, a "Nedelja", Nemanje Ćeranića dva glasa.
Glavnu ulogu u filmu "Ruski konzul" odigrao je nedavno preminuli, legendarni Žarko Laušević, koji je posthumno dobio najglasniji i najduži aplauz na kraju premijerne projekcije na 52. FEST-u.
