Teleskop "Džejms Veb" otkrio je egzoplanetu veličine Zemlje nazvanu "LHS 475 b".
Ta planeta je skoro iste veličine kao Zemlja i udaljena je "svega" 41 svjetlosnu godinu.
Planeta "LHS 475 b" napravi puni krug oko svoje matične zvijezde za samo dva zemaljska dana, što, zapravo, znači da joj je orbita vema blizu te zvijezde.
To za sobom povlači i posljedicu vrlo visoke dnevne temperature na njenoj površini, što nije baš najizgledniji scenario za postojanje života ili nastanjivost.
Bez obzira na to, "Vebovo" otkriće predstavlja prekretnicu u potrazi za egzoplanetima, jer putem ovog velikog teleskopa nauka sada ima sposobnost da otkriva i puno manje egzoplanete te čak i da proučava sastav njihove atmosfere - saopštava NASA.
