Predstavnici 27 članica EU usvojili su značajna pravila o obuzdavanju vještačke inteligencije, nakon što je savladana poslednja prepreka poslije teških pregovora.
Brisel je prvi put predložio zakon o vještačkoj inteligenciji 2021. godine, a veći dio prošle godine proveo je u nastojanjima da se usvoji nacrt teksta nakon što je čet-bot "Čet dži-pi-ti" postao veoma popularan.
Države EU i poslanici složili su se oko niza nacrta pravila još u decembru. Tada su najavljeni prvi sveobuhvatni zakoni u svijetu koji regulišu vještačku inteligenciju, a njihovo usvajanje nakon toga trebalo je da bude formalnost.
Međutim, pojedine zemlje, uključujući Francusku i Njemačku, izrazile su primjedbe, što je dovelo do nove runde pregovora o njegovom sadržaju.
Ambasadori EU konačno su potpisali tekst tokom današnjeg sastanka u Briselu, nakon što su ublažene zabrinutosti Francuske i Njemačke.
"Veoma smo srećni što možemo da objavimo da su ambasadori upravo jednoglasno potvrdili konačni kompromisni tekst koji se nalazi u prijedlogu o usklađenim pravilima o vještačkoj inteligenciji", saopštila je Belgija, koja je trenutno predsjedavajuća u EU.
Pariz je posebno želio da zakon zaštiti nove kompanije sa vještačkom inteligencijom u pokušaju da osigura da pravila ne zabranjuju buduće "evropske predvodnike u segmentu vještačke inteligencije".
Evropski parlament bi trebao da glasa o tekstu u martu ili aprilu, prije nego što on postane zakon. Zatim bi trebalo da bude zvanično potvrđen u maju.
